Chem Talk 2.2

There are many ways to interpret the meaning of an element. They are commonly described as bodies that are not able to be divided into other bodies, only divisible by themselves. In order to organize the elements, different strategies were used but chemists world wide knew that they had to be divided up into families consisting of physical and chemical properties. Elements share two types of properties; physical and chemical. Physical properties are measured when the substance’s chemical identity does not change. Chemical properties are displayed when a substance undergoes a chemical change and a new substance is formed. Whenever elements combine with oxygen molecules, they always for oxides. Pretty interesting stuff.
